Obituary of Cecile B. Harris

Cecile B. Harris, lifelong Libertyville and Mundelein resident, passed away peacefully February 2, 2023, at the age of 91. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Dale Harris; children Dan, sons Kevin (Alicia), Jacob and his mother Cindy Kick Harris; Tim, children Zach, Emily, Max, and their mother Maureen Morozin Harris; Julie (Dan) Herchenbach, their children Jon, Ben, Mollie (fiancé Chris Crow), and Jennie; Peter Harris; Jane (Terry) Venchus, their children Tyler and Chandler; and Catherine Harris; brother Reverend David Beauvais; sister-in-law Bonnie Beauvais and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Erneste Sr. and Marian Beauvais; siblings Mary (Fred) Baum, Elizabeth (John) Spokas, Erneste Jr. (Beverly), Tom, Sister Anne O.P., and Paul. Cecile was a lifelong resident of Libertyville, having been born at Condell Hospital in 1931. She lived all of her life in both Libertyville and Mundelein. Cecile was devoted to her family, caring for numerous other families, and especially her faith. She lived her Catholic faith through CFM, being a cheer coach, school room mother, and sewing garments for baptisms, altar servers, and more. Her talent of sewing came in handy, having the opportunity to design and curate her daughters’ wedding dresses and wedding attire for many bridal parties. She was the go-to person when it came to needing clothing alterations or an emergency clothing fix. Cecile will be remembered for her devotion to her faith, family, and community. She will be dearly missed by her family who consider themselves blessed to have shared her life.

Visitation Thursday,  February 9, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, IL. Funeral Mass Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10:30am with a visitation one hour prior at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville, IL. Interment Ascension Catholic Cemetery.
