Obituary of Judy Grodt
Judy Grodt, 85, of Libertyville, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2023. Judy was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan to her parent David and Amy Greenquist and graduated from Iron Mountain High School class of 1956. She received her nursing degree from Presbyterian St. Lukes now Rush University Medical Center class of 1959. She married Keith in 1962 and raised her children Karianne and David. Judy practiced as a floor nurse at Highland Park Hospital until her retirement in 2003. In retirement she continued to provide back by volunteering as a tutor with Reading Power of Lake County. She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church of Lake Forest.
Judy is survived by her loving son David, her dearest cousins Janice Shugars and Neal (Jan) Anderson and Jeanine Meisel, and her cherished friends Ann Marie and Larry Hill of Wheaton and Helen Main of Grayslake. She is preceded in death by her daughter Karianne.
Visitation for Judy will be held from 11:30am – 1:00 pm on Friday June 23rd at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville where there will be a service at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to American Diabetes Association, https://diabetes.org/ would be greatly appreciated.
