He was raised with his eight siblings in Wilmette and graduated from New Trier High School. After attending Northern Michigan University Chris went on to a long successful career as a security systems builder for nursing homes and hospitals throughout the country. He proudly installed work at the Northwestern Dyke Stadium and even worked internationally in Canada and Mexico keeping to his highest standards regardless of the job. He loved his dogs Buffett and Sadie. Chris was a lifelong outdoorsman which originated with his time in the Scouts receiving the rank of Life. He later became a troop leader of Troop 17 in Northfield from 2006 – 2017 where he received the Order of the Arrow. He mentored many scouts on their way to receive their Eagle Scout badge. He cherished his time at the Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation in Wisconsin from his time as a child to an adult. He loved taking his camper “Tiki Hut” around the country with his friends and dogs. He was an accomplished scuba diver and has amazing photos of his underwater adventures. Chris is remembered for his tech and Mr. Fixit capabilities, he had a tool (or maybe two?) for anything.
