Obituary of Toshie Noguchi

Toshie Noguchi of Vernon Hills, 95, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, in Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. She was born May 27, 1917, in Los Angeles, CA, and had been a resident of Mundelein/Vernon Hills since 1956. Mrs. Noguchi had worked for the Lake County Highway Department, Mundelein High School and IMC Corp., retiring in 1981. Survivors include her sons, Robert (Rachel Williams) and David; her niece, Carol (Eric) Brugnoni; her grandnephew, Marc (Laura) Brugnoni; and her great-grandniece, Amina Brugnoni. Toshie was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Takao "Blackie" Nogushi in 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Route 176, one block east of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville, where her family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
