Mary Lynn Hale nee Drecoll passed away Sunday Jan 12, 2014 at her home in Grayslake. Lynn was born in Libertyville in 1943 and was a graduate of the class of 1961 of Libertyville High School. Throughout her life, Lynn always had a keen sense of style. She was an accomplished artist, an avid gardener, a great cook and a skilled bridge and euchre player. She is survived by her sons Bret (Nancy) Hale and Jason (Tanya) Hale; her grandchildren Hillary, Griffin, Hailey, Emery and Colby; and her brothers Greg (Karen) Drecoll, Tim (Sue) Drecoll, Cam (Joan) Drecoll and Steve (Pat) Drecoll; many nieces, nephews and many great and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Al and Ida (nee Dugan) Drecoll. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sat. Jan 18 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville (Rt 176, 1 block East of Rt 21) where her family will receive friends from 1:00pm Sat. until the time of service. Lynn was actively involved with feeding the needy of Lake County. In lieu of flowers it has been requested that donations be made to the "Holy Family Soup Kitchen" C/O 101 Park Place, Libertyville, IL 60048.
