Philip M. Morrow 83 of Vernon Hills passed away Feb 6, 2014 at his home. Mr. Morrow was born in Cleveland Ohio and had been a resident of Vernon Hills since 1979. He had served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and had been an executive in media and advertising for more than 35 years. Philip was a devoted Chicago White Sox fan and enjoyed following all Chicago sports teams. He was an accomplished guitarist, a proficient golfer and loved to travel. Philip is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen (nee Nemmers) of 43 years of marriage, his loving son Michael (Jennifer) Morrow and was the proud grandfather of Grace and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his cherished son Philip Irvin Morrow. Funeral services will be 7:30 pm Thursday Feb. 13 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, (Rt 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville where visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Private family interment services Friday at Ascension Cemetery. If desired, memorials made to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
