Obituary of Joseph Kraft

LIBERTYVILLE - Joseph John Kraft, 66, formerly of Libertyville, passed away March 17,2014 in Chesterfield, Virginia. Joe was raised in Edgebrook, IL studying at St Vincent De Paul Seminary before attending and graduating from Notre Dame High School in Niles, IL. He continued his education receiving an MBA from Lake Forest School of Management. While raising his family in Libertyville he was a parishioner of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Joe proudly put his children through Villanova University (Joe), University of Notre Dame (Mary Therese), DePaul University (Daniel) and two through Indiana University (Patrick and Tracy). He was a coach for all his children and their friends. Joe was an accomplished entrepreneur who started and ran the packaging company Kraft Seal and Label, Lake Forest IL which he sold in 2005. Afterward he relocated to Richmond, VA to become the General Manager of Pan Atlantic Processed Films for DuPont Teijan Films. He will fondly be remembered by all for his strong faith, loyal friendship, professional mentoring, and love for life and laughter. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years of marriage Linda (nee Sykes) Kraft; his adored children Joseph J (Erin nee Quinlan), Mary Therese (Greg) Kraft-Williams, Dr. Patrick (Betsy nee Northam), Daniel and Tracy; his much cherished grandchildren Madeleine, Joseph Patrick, Trey, Riley, Parker, Taitum and Annabell; his dearest brothers and sisters Mike, Tom, Steve, Jim, Marge (nee Whalen), Kay (nee Schneider) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph John Kraft and Eileen (nee Stanton) Kraft. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday, March 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Interment following Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be held Monday March 24 from 4 -8 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville (Rt. 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave).
