Obituary of Eleanore Dhuyvetter

Eleanore Dhuyvetter, 90, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Spring Meadows in Libertyville. Eleanore was born in 1924 to Albert and Theresa Grant in Ashland, WI. Eleanore graduated from Ashland High School in 1943 then moved to Waukegan Il to work for Johns Manville. She married the love of her life, Peter Dhuyvetter, February 15, 1947. Eleanore loved to travel with relatives and friends. Birdwatching was a hobby she enjoyed for years. Left to celebrate her beautiful spirit are her children: Kenneth (Sharon) Dhuyvetter of Beach Park, Il Julie (William) Kirkham of Libertyville, IL and Kathy (Tom) Davidson of Lake Bluff, Il; grandchildren: Sandra Dhuyvetter, Peter Dhuyvetter, Nicole (Jared) Borrenpohl, Charles (Janine)Kirkham and Sarah Davidson; great grandchildren: Ava, Connor and Hadley Kirkham, Greycin, Stricklyn and Brewton Borrenpohl. Survived by her cousin, Carol Caudill of Michigan. She was preceded in death by husband Peter. Her love and commitment have influenced us tremendously, and we are sure that Heaven is a little more fun with her there. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday April 12 in the Chapel of Ascension Cemetery, 1920 W. Buckley Rd, where her family will receive friends ½ hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank the staff of Spring Meadows Reflections for the wonderful care she received for the past two years and the Rainbow Hospice for the compassionate care during the last days of her life.
