Alfred (Pete) P. Padilla, 82, of Libertyville, passed away Sunday Oct. 28 peacefully at home in Mundelein. He was born Feb 9, 1930 in Libertyville. He resided Mundelein the last 40 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Libertyville. He served in the Korea War as a Marine and was a retired plumber. He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Roger) Allord and Cynthia (Jerry) Doherty; and son Mark (Cathy); 8 grandchildren, Shane and April Allord, Erica (Mark) Raff, Jeremy Smith, Joshua (Janessa) Smith, Alex, Katie and Max Padilla; 3 great-grandchildren Jimmy Raff and Cameron and Liam Smith; sisters Mary Rhoades, Stella Jordan, Louise Stagg and Irene Garvin; brother Sam. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary (Obenauf) Padilla in 1992; Father Pedro Padilla in 1967; Mother Mary S Padilla in 1984; brothers Rueben in May 1985, Joseph (Lynn) in Nov. 2005, and Frank in May 1990. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, Oct. 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 East Maple Ave., Libertyville, IL. Interment with military honors will be at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville.
