Obituary of George Anderson

George W. Anderson, 88, a life long resident of Mundelein/ Fox Lake, died November 18, 2012. Mr. Anderson was a decorated WWII combat infantryman serving in the European Theatre of war. He received the Purple Heart Medal for wounds received in battle in Neufchateau, France.
George is survived by is daughter Nancy Anderson and his twin brother William (Lavergne) Anderson. George was preceded in death by his wife Ethel.
His family will receive friends Saturday December 1st from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, where there will be services and military honors rendered at 11:00 AM. Private interment will be at Willow Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the American Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
