Obituary of Frank Beelow

Frank G. Beelow, 78, passed away peacefully January 7, 2013. Frank was born at home in Fremont Township on July 27, 1934 and remained a lifelong resident and farmer there. He served in the US Army from 1957-1959 attaining the rank of Specialist Fourth Class. Frank was also a lifelong member of the Lake County Farm Bureau and a longtime member of Glenridge Gun Club. He was a board member of the Lake County Fair Association since 1996 where he served as chairman of the entertainment and advertising committee for several years. He also sat on the building committee and was the Executive Director of the Fair for the past year. Frank was a strong supporter of 4-H. He was the owner of Beelow's Body Shop in Grayslake from 1968-1987 and he retired as a heavy equipment appraiser from Crawford & Company after 12 years of service.
Frank was proceeded in death by his father Frank H. Beelow, mother Anna Beelow (nee Bauernschmidt), and his granddaughter Tabitha Gray (nee Beelow). He is survived by his children Timm Beelow, Connie Beelow (nee Braun), Duane Beelow, Karen Beelow (nee Knoll), Debbie O'Bryan (nee Beelow), Jim O'Bryan, Dan Beelow, Hope Beelow (nee Trzebny), Rodney Beelow and grandchildren Tessa Beelow, Samm Beelow, Breannin Beelow, Lukas Beelow, Molly O'Bryan, Austin O'Bryan, Sarah O'Bryan (nee Potter), Danielle Beelow, Jake Beelow and great grandchild A.J. Gray and his sister Rose Ann Kraemer (nee Beelow), and son in law Donald Kraemer. He also had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday Jan. 12 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl., Libertyville. Following services, interment with military honors at St. Mary Cemetery, Fremont Center. Visitation Friday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00-11:00 AM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fremont Township Food Pantry, 22376 W Erhard Rd, Mundelein 60060 would be greatly appreciated. Funeral info (847) 362-2626.
