Obituary of Dorothie Murphy

Dorothie L. Murphy (nee Steele), 87, formerly of Mundelein, died January 14, 2013, at Lake Forest Hospital
She was born February 12, 1925 in Chicago, and had been a resident of the Mundelein area since 1956. Dorothie was presently a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish and was a former active member of Santa Maria del Popolo Parish. In the middle 1960's, she had served as a volunteer for Condell Medical Center, Libertyville.
Mrs. Murphy is survived by her children, William (Catherine) Murphy, Kathleen (Andrew) Resney, Mary Frances Murphy and Joseph (Robyn) Murphy; 12 grandchildren; and her siblings, Jayne Harrold, William (Barbara) Steele and John Steele.
Dorothie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1993; and her son, Tom in 1986.
A funeral Mass will be at 12:30 PM Saturday, January 19, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 22333 Erhart Road, Mundelein (Fremont Center), IL, where there will be a visitation from 11:30 AM until the time of Mass. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
