Obituary of Judith L. Bentley

Judith L. Bentley, nee Anderson, 77, of Libertyville, passed away Aug.7, 2017 at Advocate Condell Med. Ctr. Judy was born in Oak Park, IL and had lived most of her adult life in Libertyville. Judy was an avid reader, a proficient cook, specializing in soups, a dog lover, especially MYLA, enjoyed traveling, was generous to a fault, was truly one of a kind and always supported the underdog.

Judy is survived by her loving children Jim, Mary, Marcy (Matt) Gaughan and Milinda (Dave) DiLorenzo, the proud Mema of Meagan, Shannon, Jacob, Samantha, Dominic, Matthew, Molly and Madie; the dearest sister of Janice Beake, Ted Anderson and the late Jerry Bouma, the dear sister-in-law of Dorothy (Matt) Miholic, Martina Leding Simpson and Patricia Beier.

Judy was preceded in death by her devoted husband Jim Bentley, Asst. Fire Chief for the Village of Libertyville following 39 years of marriage and her beloved parents Theodore and Lavergne Anderson. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Friday Aug. 11 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville where there will be a funeral service at 7PM that evening.
