Obituary of Ole R. Kalstrup

Ole R. Kalstrup, 79, of Libertyville, IL passed away unexpectedly at home on Aug 17, 2017 while mowing his lawn (an activity he loved). Ole was born in Aalborg, Denmark, and lived most of his adult life in Libertyville. He was proud to be a Danish-American. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, the outdoors, taking long drives, walking his children's dogs, and a good cup of coffee. There was no joke too corny or story too long for Ole.

Ole was preceded in death by his parents Svend and Ellen, and his brother Per. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathleen (Varner) Kalstrup; his sons Mike (Kathy), Dave, and Tom (Sarah) and his daughter-in-law Joni. His grandchildren Jack, Trent, Spencer, John. Emma, Waverly and Walter brought him great joy.

Funeral service for Ole will be 12 noon Saturday August 26 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service.  If desired, memorial donations can be made to any of the National Parks or to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
