Obituary of Wayne W. Wolnik

Wayne W. Wolnik, 71, of Libertyville, passed away October 9, 2017 at Advocate Condell Medical Center. He was a Libertyville/Vernon Hills resident for the past 42 years. Wayne was an outstanding grandfather, successful sales engineer, accomplished youth sport coach and devoted hockey dad. He is fondly remembered for keen wit and great sense of humor.

Wayne is survived by his adoring wife of nearly 50 years Charlene (nee Litberg); his loving children Kevin (Calianne) and Keith; his cherished granddaughter Marley; his fond siblings the late Ronald, Diane King, Nancy Wolnik and sister-in-law Pat Litberg; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Wayne will be 4 – 8 pm Thursday October 12, 2017 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville with a service held at 7:30pm. Closing prayers will be held Friday Oct 13 from 10:30 - 11:00AM at the funeral home before procession to the cemetery for interment. Funeral information (847) 362-2626.
