Obituary of Helen Suzanne McCormick

Helen Suzanne McCormick, nee deBoer, 89, passed away Dec. 25 at her home, that her husband and her built in 1956, surrounded by her children at the time of her death. Helen was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Libertyville, enjoyed bowling at Libertyville Lanes and finally gave up the game of golf at age 83. Helen was an expert seamstress who found pleasure in designing fashions for others.

She is survived by her loving children John (Adele), David, Barbara and Paul. She was the proud grandmother of Erik (Erin) McCormick, Mary (Erick) Dominquez, Katie-Lyn (Brandon) Bunney, Nicholas (Erica) Puffer and Kimberley Puffer; proud great-grandmother of eight; and her loyal sister Ruth (John) Wassinger. Helen was preceded in death by her devoted husband John (Jack) in 1990.

Funeral Mass will be 10AM Sat. Jan. 6 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 121 East Maple Ave. Libertyville. Interment Ascension Cemetery.
