Obituary of Connie D. Henderson
Connie D. Henderson, 83, of Libertyville formerly of Waukegan, passed away peacefully at her home on April 8, 2018. Connie was a dedicated civil servant devoting over 20 years as office manager for the city of Waukegan Dept. of Engineering. She is remembered for her matter of fact demeanor; her love of travel, cooking and spending time with family, she had fine appreciation of the Arts as a season ticket holder with the Lyric Opera, and her strong Armenian Faith.
Connie is preceded in death by her beloved husband William S. Henderson; her parents Hagop Der Hagopian and Helen (nee Goshgarian); and her brother Carl Der Hagopian. Connie is survived by her loving children Julie (Dr. Krikor) Barsoumian and William D. Henderson; her adoring grandchildren Levon (Aline), Vahe (Diana) and Edward; and her much loved great-grandchildren Sosé and Victoria.
Funeral services for Connie will be 10:00 am Saturday April 14th at St. Paul Armenian Apostolic Church, 645 S. Lewis Ave, Waukegan. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 pm Friday April 13 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Rt 21) Libertyville. Interment Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago.
