Obituary of William John Doran
William John Doran, on May 14, 2018 at the age of 88. A Rogers Park (Chicago) native, William graduated from St. George High School and served in both the United States Marine Corps and Air Force and was a Korean War era veteran. William enjoyed a long and successful career as a Tool and Die Maker and Tool Designer and was an instructor at the Tool and Die Institute for over 20 years. William finished his career as General Manager of Grant Industries of Chicago at the age of 70.
William was preceded in death by Dorothy Doran, loving wife of 67 years. William is survived by sister Margaret and brother in-law Harold Bregenzer, son Mike and daughter in-law Uma, son Bill and daughter in-law Kim, sons Timothy Patrick and John, daughters Catherine and Eileen, grandchildren Justin, Julia, Gia, Gregory, Madeline, Taylor, Evan, Timothy, Colin, Patrick, Veronica and Kevin, and great grandson Micah. He is also survived by nephews Christopher and Randell Dewitz and niece Susan Jenks as well as nieces Laura, Mary and Kathleen.
Funeral Mass 10:30 am Saturday May 26th at St Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 411 N Wheeling Rd, Prospect Hts, IL 60070. Visitation Friday 4:00 – 8:00 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville and Saturday at church one hour prior to Mass.
