Obituary of Phil Hermann

Phil Hermann, 54, of Gages Lake, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 2.  Phil was a loyal son, a tremendous brother, and a friend to many.  An avid reader with a great sense of humor, Phil loved to fish, watch cooking shows, and learn about history.  He was a loyal Nascar and Chicago sports fan, and the Cubs World Series Championship in 2016 was a dream come true.

 Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Nancy, and dogs, Pom Pom, Barron and CJ.  He is survived by his sister, Karen (aka Egghead, Whitey, or Kid), her wife, Beth Pier, and their dog Callaway. 

 There will be a Celebration of Life from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, with Words of Remembrance at 6:30 p.m. at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Rt 21) Libertyville.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Phil’s behalf to the National Wildlife Federation, Attn: Diane Viands, 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, Reston, Va 20190. Funeral information (847) 362-2626.
