Obituary of Evelyn Vlink

Evelyn Vlink (nee Wanat), 88, passed away Oct. 15, 2018. Evelyn was born in Libertyville and was a lifelong resident. She was a lover of animals and was an ardent homemaker (cooking, baking, sewing, etc.).

Evelyn is survived by her loving children, Kim (Pam) Vlink, Scott (Gayle) Vlink, Renee (Paul) Dones, Matthew Smith and the late Michael Smith; proud grandmother of Cassi (Casey), Melissa, John, Nathan, Megan (Jumaane), Michelle, David, Mark, Kevin, Adam (Gina), Kyle, Kelly, Kara, Ryan and Jania Garcia; and the dearest great-grandmother of Kaylee, Conor and River.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Roy Vlink, in 2007.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon Friday, Oct. 19, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, where there will be visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery.
