Christopher Allen Schmitt, 34, of Waukegan, passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020.
Chris was born on October 31st,1985 to Rick and Kimberly Schmitt. He graduated from Warren Township High School in Gurnee, Illinois.
Chris had a passion for the outdoors whether fishing or hunting in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with his grandpa or kayaking and rock collecting. Chris’s greatest devotion was to horticulture. He loved caring for bees and was famous for his fresh local honey. He loved passing his knowledge onto others about the importance of bees. Most of all, Chris is remembered as a patient, kind, and caring man who loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Rick and Kimberly Schmitt; his brother Michael, his sister Michelle (Artie) Haas; his nieces Makala, Addison, and Madalyn, and many Aunts and Uncles.
Funeral services for Chris will be held privately at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, Libertyville. Interment will be in the U.P. with his grandpa.
