Obituary of Antonette Sharpe

Antonette Sharpe, 89 of Libertyville. IL passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Spring Meadows. Born in Chicago to Nicola and Mary Migliore, Toni and her brother Constantine (Gus) grew up in Chicago's Little Italy neighborhood. Married in 1949, Toni lived in Plymouth, Indiana with her husband John, before moving to Libertyville in 1951, where she would spend the rest of her life. Toni was a housewife and mother. She also worked as a secretary, and later as a Real Estate and Insurance Broker at Boehm and Ray Insurance in Libertyville. In her later years she worked as a volunteer at Condell Memorial Hospital and she manned the register at Petranek's Pharmacy, where she was a friend to many residents of Libertyville. She was also an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. An avowed Roman Catholic, Toni was a passionate parishioner of St. Joseph's Parish for 60 (sixty years). Preceded in death by her husband John W. Sharpe, Antonette is survived by her daughters; Marianne Heffernan of Marblehead, MA, Patricia (James) Sharpe-Gregg and Catherine Sharpe (Frank Carr) of Libertyville. She also leaves her grandchildren, Molly (Ricardo) Aceves, Nathan and Nina Westin, Johnathan and Anna Oleksinski and her three great-grandchildren, Viviana, Diego and Mateo Aceves. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday, June 8, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt 176, 1 block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville. Proceed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 128 E. Maple Ave, Libertyville, for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Friday June 7, at the McMurrough Funeral Chapel.
