Obituary of Claudia Marie Ekovich

Claudia M. Ekovich (nee Wegerzyn), 85, of Gurnee, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday March 24, 2021 with her family by her side. Claudia dedicated over 30 years as an educator before retiring as the 2^nd grade teacher from Woodland Elementary. She is remembered for talents on the golf course and at the card table playing bridge with friends. Claudia loved to spend winters in the Gulf Shores with her companion Ken Cole.

Claudia is survived by her loving children Mary Ekovich and Jim (Letitia) Ekovich; her cherished grandchildren Abigail and Andrew Cummins and Eleanor Ekovich; and her dearest 7 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Dr. Amy Cummins and her brother Norbert Wegerzyn.
