Obituary of Timothy Lee Meyer

Timothy Lee Meyer, 58, of Libertyville, IL, passed away peacefully in his home on March 16^th, 2021. Born August 23, 1962 in Monroe, WI, to Donald and Marion Meyer.

Tim attended Belleville High School in Wisconsin where he met his high school sweetheart, Michelle Meyer (nee Jaggi). They married on a cold, sunny day on January 9^th, 1988.

Tim earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from UW Madison which led to an award-winning career  leading teams across the globe in the IT sector. A year in Scotland with his family was an experience of  a lifetime.

Tim enjoyed spending his time watching the Green Bay Packers, listening to music, playing guitar, gardening, reading, fishing, and loved animals. Above all, Tim most enjoyed being with his family. Having coached and played basketball with his sons for many years, he created amazing memories with his sons. His sons are his legacy whom he loved so much.

Tim is survived by his loving wife Michelle; sons Donald (Melissa) of Blue Mounds, WI, William (Allison) of Madison, WI, and Timothy of Libertyville, IL; dear grand-daughter Haley Michelle of Blue Mounds, WI; and siblings William (Nancy), Peggy (Ozzie), Jeffrey (Jeanne), and Vicki.

Timothy is preceded in death by parents Donald and Marion, dear brother Donald, a dear niece, his dear father and mother-in-law, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Tim will continue to be loved and missed by his family and friends.

When the sun breaks through the clouds and a warm beam shines down upon your face, It’s me reaching out from Heaven to touch your cheeks and whisper, I’m alright.  When a gentle breeze finds you and refreshes your mind and body,  It’s me caressing you and reminding you You’re alright too. 

A celebration of life for Tim will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to McMurrough Funeral Chapel, Libertyville, IL.
