Obituary of Mary Loos
Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Loos, Mary M., wife of Dr. Frank M. Loos, died peacefully at her home on September 12, 2012, in Libertyville, IL. She was 85 years of age. Her soft beauty and gentle ways probably resulted from having been born and raised in a small village in central England. Her inherent love of flowers and animals is obvious from the large flower beds and numerous feeders at her home. When her husband once commented about a particularly unattractive bird at a feeder she explained with emphasis, "Yes, but he's hungry too."
During WW II she met her husband, Dr. Frank Loos when he was stationed at an American air base near her home. He was a B-24 bomber pilot on his way to bomb Hitler's Germany. After 35 missions he was released from active combat duty. They were married soon after. The marriage lasted for over 65 years. Two daughters resulted from the marriage; one is deceased.
A memorial service will be held on September 22 from 1-5 PM at the Loos residence, 286 Ridgeway Ln., Libertyville, IL 60048.
