Obituary of Vernon Veach

Vernon Veach, 92, of Mundelein, passed away August 28, 2013. He devoted 35 years to his country serving as General Inspector for the Inspector General of the US Army Corp of Engineers. In retirement, he was able to apply the skills he mastered in the military by working in the Vernon Hills Public Works Department and served as the office manager for many area churches. He was also generous with his time and energy by assisting the Epilepsy foundation and many other non-profit organizations. Vernon is survived by his loving children Vernon Jr. (Arlene) Veach and Michyl Veach; his treasured grandchildren Steven (Nicola) and Jonathan (Kristin); and his much adored great-grandchildren Madison and T.J.. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marjorie of 37 years of marriage. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Wed. Sep. 4 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville (Rt. 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) where there will be visitation Tues. Sept. from 3:30-8:00PM and Wed. Sep 4 from 9:30AM until the time of service at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Diamond Lake Cemetery, Mundelein.
