Please share a memory of Kelly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kelly O’Brien McCann, of Marietta, GA, formerly of Arlington Heights, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 50.

She is survived by her husband, Paul McCann; children, Colleen, Kaitlyn, Timmy, Erin, and Patrick; father, Tim O’Brien; sister, Brandy (Rick) Di Vito; father and mother-in-law, Leo and Linda McCann; brother-in-law Kevin (Andrea) McCann; nieces and nephews, Sabrina, Ricky, Mikey, and Johnny Di Vito, Nolan, Connor, and Michael McCann. Dear niece, cousin, and friend to many.

Kelly is preceded in death by her mother, Lona O’Brien, and grandmother Wilma Matthews.

After growing up in Chicago and Arlington Heights, Kelly attended Buffalo Grove High School, where she was a softball star. During this time, she met Paul, her high school sweetheart and future husband having just celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Upon graduating, she attended Northern Illinois University and became a Deaf Education teacher and Sign Language Interpreter. Kelly raised her five children while living in Vernon Hills, Shanghai, Switzerland, St. Louis, and Atlanta, but always saw Chicago as her home. She was an avid Cubs fan and proud of her Irish heritage.

Above all, Kelly loved being with her family. With her strong Catholic faith, kindheartedness, loyalty, and joyous spirit, she was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched.
