Jerrianne, Matt and John; Please accept my belated condolences. Gary was a great mentor & coach. He always tried to make me and others better through his teachings and more importantly by his example. The last time I saw him, this past February for lunch, he again extended sincere & constructive advice. He was a great boss and respected by everyone I know. My thoughts and prayers go out to you & your entire family.

Gary Anderson was my boss for nine years, but he was more than a boss, he was a dear friend. He was a compassionate, caring, and considerate person. He cared about the people in the office and was generous with his time, talents and money. He had such a great smile that would light up a room. We lost touch over the years, but I thought of him often with joy in my heart from having known him. The world has dimmed without his light to shine brightly. I shall miss you, Gary. Thank you for being such a wonderful person and teaching me what an exceptional, caring, and dedicated person you were and for having shared those nine years with you at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company.

I met Gary in 1971 when I moved out to Tempe to attend ASU. He was a friend of a good friend of mine , we were good friends from the first day I met him. We spent a fair amount of time camping, exploring Arizona and yes going to classes and just plain laughing. I left Arizona and did not see Gary for over two decades. When we got together this past summer, we were in Chicago and he was the host of all hosts and the life of the party. Making sure our reunion had everything just right. Gary always had something positive to add to every conversation and was always listening. Gary will be missed and I wish the best for his family, I know Gary was head over heals over his wife and I wish the best for his sons whom he was very proud of.

Dear Jerrianne, I was totally in shock when I heard of Gary's sudden passing. He was always such an active person. Although years have passed and we lost touch, I always thought of you and Gary with joy in my heart. Gary was the best, caring, and considerate boss I ever had. He truly cared for all of us who worked with him. Gary had a huge heart and a loving soul. I can imagine the sadness, loss and grief you and your sons are feeling right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this painful time. Gary was a true shining light and this world is dimmer with his passing. Love, prayers and hugs. Jackie

To the family: my deepest condolences to all of you. I've known Gary professionally and as a friend for over 20 years. most recently i was with him in Colorado sharing a drink watching the Bears game joking, laughing and just having fun. This is quite a shock to you and your family - and all his many friends. he will be dearly missed. I too, and all friends and family will be hard pressed to describe this pain. but Gary was a kind and generous man and our memories of him will be held in a special place and his positive views on life will continue on. A big heart and a good soul - we all miss you Gary. A human life is a story told by God.... our prayers are with you all.
