Gary L. Anderson, age 62 of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois passed away on October 3, 2013. Gary was born on February 5, 1951 in Covina, California. Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Jerrianne Anderson and his two sons. He was a devoted father to Matthew and Jonathan Anderson. He was the oldest son of Billie and the late Pastor Tommy Anderson, loyal brother of Sandy Myers, Larry Anderson, and Randy Anderson. Gary dedicated over 30 years of his life to financial services as a successful wholesaler for Mass Mutual and John Hancock Retirement Services. Gary was an incredible storyteller, master chef and host, passionate mentor and coach. Lover of music, soccer, and movies. He left us way too soon, but left us with a lifetime of laughter. Gary's family will receive friends Sunday, October 6, from 12 to 1 PM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Route 176, one block east of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville. A service honoring Gary's life will held at 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers the family has designated donations to be sent to North Bible Church, 15678 North Greenway Hayden Loop, Suite 101, Scottsdale, AZ 85260 which will serve the poor of Phoenix.
