Tom, I will miss wishing you those birthday wishes each February!
My heart is very heavy having heard of your passing. I will cherish those years we spent at Moore Business Forms. Your wise counsel was well appreciated.
You have left us way too early. And the void you left will never be filled. But , you have left us a tremendous legacy that will live on. You may be gone physically but the essence of Tom Gottfried will forever be here.
Rest In Eternal Peace.
Patrick Peart.

To my dear friend Tom,
Since the moment I heard about your passing, memories of our childhood at St. Bernardines and adult reunions have flooded my mind. I have spoken with many of our classmates and everyone had the same reaction of shock and sadness. In addition, everyone's memories of you were the same, with of course individual sentiments as well. Anthony said you shared a birthday! Marie and Laura spoke fondly of life on Wenonah with your family. The mention of your great smile, amazing friend and your generous heart all seemed to ring true for all us from the "Class of '75". As I was sharing the awful news of your passing to our classmates, I received a text back from Mark Holzman who texted back "Terese you will not believe this but my family just finished watching the movie It's A Wonderful Life, and just as the most famous line was said, every time a bell rings another Angel gets his wings, his phone chimed with my message. How ironic and so true. You did receive your wings my dear friend and you are now our Angel watching over all of us. I know I can speak for our whole class that we will all miss you terribly. Rest in sweet peace Tom and may perpetual light shine upon your soul.

Every memory I have of Tom brings a smile to my face... The pictures I've attached here are of Tom gifting used computers to our Kenya WEMA and "Christian Outreach Mission" partners. The care he provided to all in need of his services changed lives.
My life also was happier because he was both our family's computer technician and friend.
I know how much pride he had in his family - his favorite topic of conversation. I pray the sweet memories of Tom - and knowledge of God's provision - will comfort all who were fortunate enough to spend time with Tom.

I loved Tommy since he was a lad on Wenonah.
I was so proud for him the day I learned he was going to Fenwick.
He was a caring fellow who showed the sort of man he’d become at the couple of group drinks events attended as adults.
Obviously didn’t know him well beyond childhood and life can make things complicated, but the Tommy Gottfried I knew did the best he could with what he had.
All my deepest thoughts for Teri, Bobby, his wife and the girls.
You guys had a pretty good one there.

ODE TO THOMAS G
The exemplar of the absent-minded professor wandering the technological campus, gadgets in hand.
The brain-child of creativity, invention and patents leading the way for the next generation.
The swimmer in the pool of immediate and extended family, friends, neighbors and colleagues.
The gardener digging, planting, weeding (?), mowing, and pruning.
The relaxer in the den watching the latest movies, cigar in one hand, snifter in the other. Alleluia.

We first met Tom in Kindergarten at St. Bernadines School and how could we ever forget - he was the tallest boy in the class and remained the tallest boy. Throughout our almost 60 years of friendship, Tom has never changed. His contagious laugh, his kind smile and his genuine heart never waivered.
We are so grateful that we all kept in touch the best we could and just saw him at our last mini-reunion earlier this year. May your happy memories give you peace and comfort during this challenging time. Tom will forever be in our thoughts.
