Mary Ann, I kept thinking about George this evening and could not shake it. So I started searching and found his obituary online. I'm so sorry I didn't make contact earlier while George was still alive. George and I worked together at Joslin in Woodstock. We had lots of fun and conversation together. My career took me to far away places over the years, and along the way lost track of you and George.
I'm very saddened to read this.
God Bless you and all your family Mary Ann, and may George rest forever in peace with God.

I met George at Barnes & Noble about 1 1/2 years ago. At first we just said hello and read our books, but over time we started talking about a variety of topics, many of which were hard topics. We became friends and got together frequently for in depth conversations. It was an honor and a privilege to know George and to be his friend. I will miss miss him.

My thoughts and prayers are with George and his family and friends. I met George a few years ago at the Vernon Hills Barnes & Noble - he gladly and whole heartedly joined the book club I began running there. I looked forward to my Saturday morning shift, knowing George would be in the café shortly after the store opened. We talked about everything... and when my Dad passed away he was there to listen. I admired his passion for reading and his passion for his family, he so loved both. You will be missed by all of us at Barnes & Noble, George. Thank you for sharing part of your life with me, my friend.

Dear DuFour Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear the passing of the friendliest person who worked at Knowles; George was the first person to welcome me to my first job out of school nearly 20 years ago. George loved the people he worked with; he commemorated with a group photo that he took and distributed to everyone. That photo reminds me of the good time everyone had working together and I will remember George as the kind person that he is whenever I look at that photo. George was a good mentor to this once bewildered young person.
Respectfully yours,
Sung Lee

George has been a special friend for 36 years. When I started at Gould we immediately became friends and went to lunch together every day. We constantly talked about our lives and our families. When I started MSI with Warren, George was included as one of the original 12 people. George and I worked side by side for many hours on the ion implanter. I was so happy to be able to visit with him last Monday. I will always remember George. My condolences to the family and a special thank you to Mary Ann and Wendy for keeping me in the loop.
