My sincere condolences on your loss. Mrs. Obenauf was far and away my favorite teacher and truly a fantastic lady. Any time I saw her out and about she was eager to hear what I'd been up to. I always felt that she was there to celebrate all the wonderful things I could share. I wish you much joy in remembering all the ways she made the world a better place.

I think we all had her as our beloved first grade teacher if you went to Washington School. I was lucky to always see her around town and she was a constant at Journeys End Restaurant when I worked there. She was an ageless beautiful person and my condolences to all.

I will always cherish our birthday celebrations, shopping trips and lengthy chats about everything. You went from being my teacher, to a family friend, to part of my family. I’ll miss you so much, but always be thankful for the time I had with you. My thoughts are with all of your family. I love you!

Ms. Roxane was friends with my grandmother, I believe they taught together.
Growing up I always had trouble reading and taking tests. I had the privilege of being tutored by Ms.Roxane out of her home, as a favor to my grandmother.
Ms.Roxane was the kindest, most genuine, deeply caring, and patient person. She helped me gain confidence in my studies which has allowed me to reach my fullest potential and ultimate successes
Thank you Ms.Roxane for allowing me the opportunity and privilege of having you in my life.

Mrs. Obenauf was my first-grade teacher at Washington Elementary. I will always remember her as a kind and gentle teacher who inspired me and my classmates to not only enjoy learning but to treat others as she treated all of us. Thank you, Mrs. Obenauf, for being such a great teacher.

I had the privilege of meeting Roxane at Washington School in 1992.I so admired her in many ways. What love and patience she had with the children.Roxane was a favorite with many students and their parents. She was an inspiration to all of us and I always remember that beautiful smile of hers. After she retired she would could back many times to Washington school to sub and I would enjoy so much catching up on news.I got to visit her a few months ago while she was at Manor Care in Libertyville.Little did I know that that would be the last time I would have the opportunity to chat and be with Roxane.Roxane certainly has touched my life.I will certainly miss her.My deepest sympathy to her family. All of you are in my prayers.

One thing I will really miss about Roxane was her contagious smile. Even with her last days you can tell a joke and she will manage to give you a sweet smile. I loved all the stories she shared about her life and some experiences about her teaching comparing kids today and during her time and I picked up some advices from her. My deepest condolences to the family of OBENAUF and DANIAN my prayers are with you in this difficult time.- Maria Rogers

It is with great sadness that we gather together to honor our precious Aunt Rox. She has been the heart of the Obenauf family for almost sixty (60) years. She treated every one of us as if she were our mother. She has celebrated our marriages, the births of our children, the losses of our loved ones with us. Aunt Rox had over 40+ nieces and nephews who adored her and whom she adored. Both she and Uncle Paul were the "favorite" aunt and uncle to the nieces and nephews as well as the grand nieces and nephews of the Obenaufs, the Regners, the Deinleins, and the Untzs. There are so many precious memories that each of us hold in our hearts. How do you describe an angel walking this earth - Aunt Roxanne!
