Scott was such a nice man... This is such sad news!
I always enjoyed seeing his smiling face around the Libertyville area though its been years since I last saw him.
I was blessed to spend time with him in Breckenridge on a ski trip with several of our mutual friends. It was on this trip that he shared this poem with us... how strange it feels for me to share it now. It touched me.
THE DASH
by Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on the tombstone from the beginning… to the end.
He noted that first came the date of birth and spoke of the following date with tears, but he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time they spent alive on earth and now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth. For it matters not, how much we own, the cars… the house… the cash.
What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard; are there things you’d like to change? For you never know how much time is left that still can be rearranged.
To be less quick to anger and show appreciation more and love the people in our lives like we’ve never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile… remembering that this special dash might only last a little while.
So when your eulogy is being read, with your life’s actions to rehash, would you be proud of the things they say about how you lived your dash?
Thank you for sharing your Dash with all of us, Scott!
May you be blessed in the next life.
My sincerest condolences to his friends and family.

Scott was a teammate of mine- I was the video bitch.. he made me laugh and also pissed off the teammates. My face was when we brain locked in the air and Dude did a 180, tracked off flipping us off, may other antics on Saturday nights are top memories. Then “south Oark” wednesdays at Aliens house. I had the honor of working with Scott. He was one of the most brilliant technicians that I have ever worked with. There wasn’t a thing he couldn’t figure out as long as you let him. His humor will be missed. Todd and Kristin Lewis

Scott, you’ll always be one the best friends, and people, I’ve ever met. Whether we were investigating UFO’s, or our spiritual journeys, hours could go by, and the authenticity of our friendship over the past 10 + years, we never skipped a beat. Always picked up where we left off. With new and interesting topics and thoughts, you were one of the people in this world that I connected with on a higher level. I miss you. I know you are in a really cool place now, and I bet you’re digging it. Love you Scott, you are a piece of me, and enormous part of my journeys in sobriety. I think you would like this green colored candle.
Always in my heart,
Sabrina
