Obituary of Scott Edward Shoellhorn

Scott E Shoellhorn, 61, of Grayslake passed away July 14, 2021. Scott graduated from Wyotech and was an accomplished auto mechanic for over 25 years. He was a certified competitive skydiver and also enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, boating and everything that involved speed. His family characterized him as a “daredevil”. Scott was always seeking knowledge, was a lifelong learner in the topics he was interested in. He had a generous heart and would help many desperate souls offering a place to stay, food, shelter, laughter and companionship.

Scott is survived by his father Kent; sisters Anne (Loren) Hughes and Kara (Douglas) Nawrocki; his nieces and nephews Erin Robbins, Luke Hughes and Caid Nawrocki; and dearest great-nieces Layne and Lilah. He is preceded in death by his mother Marilyn.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 17th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville. Interment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
