Obituary of Mary E. McHugh

Mary Elizabeth McHugh, a longtime Antioch resident, died peacefully on Jan. 12, 2023, of heart failure. She was 63.

Mary, the daughter of the late Bill and Agnes Moore, was married to Bill McHugh for 37 years. She graduated from Sacred Heart of Mary High School in 1977. She is survived by her husband Bill and children, Kelly, Billy (Ana) and Sean. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Santina and Michael McHugh; her brother, Michael Moore; her sisters-in-law, Pat (Mike) Christensen and Carol (the late Rick) Sanders; and brother-in-law, Mike (Joan) McHugh.

Mary enjoyed attending arts and craft shows, County fairs, gardening and flower picking and the occasional trip to Las Vegas. Her family was her pride and joy.

A Wake will be held for Mary Friday, January 20 from 3 to 8 p.m. at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 21 at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple Avenue, Libertyville, IL. Interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
